The Divemaster is the first PADI professional level, you will supervise the certified divers activities, you will assist the Instructor with students in training and you will be able to teach apnea as well as snorkeling. So, it is essential to have examplary technics and a model behaviour, strong rescue skills, a professional level of scuba diving theoretical knowledge, abilities in management and supervision in diving and the efficiency of a qualified assistant. We propose this course as a training in total immersion within the dive centre. Assistant Instructor (AI) (click here to have the detailed schedule of the AI course) The PADI Assistant Instructor is a scuba diving teacher who organizes and supervises the theoretical knowledge development and the confined and open water activities. As an Assistant Instructor, you will work in association with the Instructor to help the student divers to get a good theoretical knowledge development and excellent dive skills during the different certifying courses. The teaching technics you will learn during the training will allow you as an Assistant Instructor to conduct independently different PADI programs and, thanks to a further training, you will also be able to teach the Emergency First Response course. It is often combined to the OWSI course. Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) (click here to have the detailed schedule os the Instructor course) The PADI Open water Scuba Instructor certification is the first PADI Instructor level granted to scuba diving professionals. During the course (Instructor Development Course or OWSI course) the candidate studies PADI standards, procedures, as well as the philosophy and the pedagogical methods, at the same time he improves his practical training abilities, his sailor quality and his scuba diving knowledge. After having passed the PADI Instructor Examination (IE), the OWSI is responsible for introducing scuba diving to people through different PADI courses. The PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor, in active status, can conduct the whole bunch of PADi courses, from Discover Scuba Diving to Divemaster (excluding the specialities requiring a specific speciality Instructor level). Instructor Development Course (IDC) (click here to have the detailed schedule of the IDC) The IDC is the most important Instructor training. It cumulates the assistant Instructor course and the Instructor course as well in just one session. It is clearly for Divemasters who wish to become PADI Instructors.
