Our dive centre is located in Playa del Carmen, in the Yucatan peninsula, on the « Riviera Maya » at 65km away to the South from Cancun International airport.

Phocea is the only PADI Gold Plam Instructor Development Centre in Playa del Carmen.

This Mexican coast has a climate quite well adapted to scuba diving, the water is warm, clear with a very good visibility. This allows to dive almost all year long in excellent conditions.

The dives are varied and well adapted to several specialities, for example the drift dive (for the sea) and the cavern diver speciality (in the famousYucatan cenotes, there are so many in this part of Mexico and they are so close to the dive centre).

Phocea’s accommodation : Colibri Hotel

The Colibri Hotel lays just aside the dive centre, this is one of the onliest hotels of the centre of Playa del carmen with direct access to the beach !
It is composed by 33 roomy bedrooms, with air conditioning and/or fan, safe, Queen size bed. Depending on the category you choose, you will enjoy a view onto the sea, the tropical garden (that surrounds the hotel) or onto the street.
The Colibri Hotel is the perfect place to stay in a quiet and pleasant atmosphere and to be able to work and study your courses and examinations.
The accommodation is based on a bedroom share between students, please contact us if you wish to have a single bedroom.
